Updated 14 October 2026 · Deep Trouble: Lost Signal and this website

CR3D develops Deep Trouble: Lost Signal and is responsible for the game data described here. Contact: cr3dapps@gmail.com.

The game uses a guest profile, online leaderboards and gameplay statistics hosted for CR3D. You can request deletion of your guest profile and game data by email.

Guest profile and local records

When an internet connection is available, the game automatically creates or reconnects a guest profile. It uses a randomly generated installation credential, an internal player ID, a public DIVER-code, and session and run IDs. No name, email address, password or external account is required to play. These identifiers are pseudonymous: they connect runs to the same guest profile without telling us your real name.

Your installation credential, guest profile details, personal records, recent run history and queued uploads are stored on your device. Connection failures do not prevent offline play. Queued results and statistics may be uploaded when the connection returns. Clearing app data removes local records and credentials; it does not delete data already stored on our servers and may cause the game to create a new guest profile.

Online scores and public leaderboards

The game sends run starts, depth scores, run duration, dates, daily competition information and run outcomes to CR3D servers. We use this information to provide daily and all-time leaderboards, return your records and rank, and check score eligibility. Your public DIVER-code, leaderboard score and rank can be shown to other players. Internal identifiers, installation credentials and detailed gameplay statistics are not displayed on the public leaderboard.

Gameplay statistics and technical diagnostics

We receive compact run summaries linked to your guest profile. They include tools collected and equipped, tool switches, button actions and their outcomes, braking and boost time, depth and end zone, replay activity and leaderboard use. We also receive the app build, platform and input method, performance measurements such as frame rates, frame times, hitches and display dimensions, and operational errors such as failed score uploads. Diagnostic runs may include additional bounded technical trace summaries.

We use these records to understand how the game is played, measure return visits, improve balance and performance, investigate bugs and maintain the online service. They are not a video or full replay of your gameplay. The game does not use an advertising ID, collect your contacts or photos, or request your physical location.

Website, support and service providers

This privacy page uses no tracking scripts or cookies. Hosting providers may process IP addresses and browser or request details to deliver and secure the website and game API. The API also temporarily uses hashed IP-address buckets to limit abusive requests. We do not use these addresses to infer your location. If you email us, we use your address and message to handle your enquiry.

Hosting, backup and email providers may process data to provide their services to CR3D. Gameplay statistics and diagnostics are available through a protected administration dashboard. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. Data may also be disclosed where required by law.

Purposes and security

We process guest-profile and score data to provide the online game features you use. We process limited gameplay statistics, technical diagnostics, support messages and security logs for our legitimate interests in improving the game, providing support and keeping the service reliable and secure. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests using the contact below.

The game uses HTTPS to send data to CR3D servers. Server-side installation and session secrets are stored as hashes, and access to the administration dashboard requires authentication.

How long data is kept

Guest profiles and original score/run records are kept to maintain leaderboard history and investigate score disputes, until they are deleted following a verified request or are no longer needed for these purposes. Detailed run summaries, activity events and operational error reports have a configurable retention window, set to 90 days by default, and are removed during retention maintenance. This does not automatically delete guest profiles, original scores, other diagnostic records or backups after 90 days.

Other diagnostic records and technical logs are kept as needed to investigate performance, technical or security issues. Support messages are kept as needed to resolve enquiries and handle related requests. Data in restricted backups may remain until the backup is replaced or expires.

Delete your guest profile and game data

To request deletion for Deep Trouble: Lost Signal:

  1. Email cr3dapps@gmail.com with the subject Deep Trouble data deletion.
  2. Include your public DIVER-code, shown on the game's leaderboard, if available. Note it before clearing app data. Tell us whether you want the entire guest profile and its associated data deleted or only particular records.
  3. If you no longer have the code or the app, explain this in your email. You do not need to reinstall the game to submit a request. We may ask for limited additional information to locate your records and verify that the request concerns your profile.

For a verified full-profile deletion request, we delete the guest profile, authentication/session records, associated scores and run records, gameplay summaries, activity events and identifiable operational reports from the active service. Removing local app data alone is not a server deletion request. If the game is used again with an internet connection, it may create a new guest profile and collect new data.

We may retain limited records where necessary for legal obligations, security or fraud investigations, and correspondence needed to handle the request. We will explain any such exception and its retention period in our response. Restricted backup copies remain subject to their replacement or expiry cycle. We respond without undue delay and normally within one month; if a lawful extension is needed, we will explain it.
